Since our NFC sticker is only resistant upto 180°C for 30 minutes, we offer our decal version suitable for high-temperature environments. What happens if someone removes the chip? Velopass is not removable in case the Velopass was added during the manufacturing process. In case of the aftermarket version, when registering your bike on Velopass, the brand + frame number are mandatory fields. If someone removes the Velopass sticker from the bicycle, the bicycle can always be found via the brand + frame number combination. Compare it to the license plate of a car. If it is removed, the registered owner can still be found via the frame number.
